Nominations Open for TASSP Executive Board

Vacancy for TASSP Second Vice-President and Assistant State Coordinator

TASSP officers are nominated each year by the TASSP Nominating Committee. The composition of the Nominating Committee is determined per Board policy with the committee including a member from each of the 5 areas as shown below. The policy provides for the rotation of the nominee for the Second Vice-President from these regions and from certain segments of TASSP membership. For 2026, Nominations are open for the office of TASSP Second Vice President which shall come from Area 2 which includes Regions 9-11 from a Small High School: 4A or smaller.

Nominations are also open for the office of Assistant State Coordinator which is an at-large election.
The TASSP constitution states, “The nominee shall have been a member of TASSP for at least three years and shall have at least three years of experience as a secondary school principal or assistant principal.”

Letters of interest for Board openings should be e-mailed to the Executive Director and must include a statement or letter of endorsement from the Superintendent, and if the candidate is an assistant principal, the building principal.
